Parent Communication

Our partnership with parents is critical to each child’s ability to thrive at Green Cove. The intake process with Leora is where parents can learn about our philosophy, staffing and programming and where we can understand the full breadth of your child. Open communication throughout the year will ensure we are all on the same page about how to best engage and support your child. Weekly communication via email or phone will enable us to share how your child is navigating the camp day.

Food & Allergies

Mealtime is not  just about nourishing our bodies, it is also an opportunity for our camp community to come together. Campers provide their own lunch, which will take place in an air-conditioned cafeteria. AM and PM snacks are provided and will be 100% Peanut and Tree Nut Free. While our food will contain other known allergens, we will work with families to ensure that children with food allergies are safe, healthy, and included.

Transportation

Round-trip daily transportation is an option available to Green Cove families, for an additional fee. Camp buses will pick up and drop off campers at central locations in Westchester and New York City. All of our bus drivers have their New York State Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL) and each vehicle is staffed with a highly trained counselor who will ensure that all safety guidelines are followed. Our transportation staff will take the time to get to know campers to help create a fun and warm way to start and end the day together!
